Moresby Lake

The Moresby Lake facility is a 6 MW reservoir-based hydroelectric generating station located on the island of Haida Gwaii off the north coast of British Columbia. The project commenced commercial operation in September 1990. Atlantic Power indirectly owns 100% of the project.

All of the electricity generated by the Project is sold to BC Hydro under a long-term PPA expiring on December 31, 2043. Atlantic Power operates and manages the Project. Moresby Lake joined Atlantic Power as result of the acquisition of Capital Power Income LP in November 2011.
