Peter L. Corsell
Chairman
Peter Corsell is Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Corsell is a Partner at I Squared Capital, where he leads the firm’s technology funds and is a member of the firm’s Operating Committee. Prior to joining I Squared, he was cofounder and Managing Partner at Twenty First Century Utilities, a private investment firm specializing in sustainability and technology in the electric power sector, which was acquired by I Squared in 2019.
Mr. Corsell is also Chairman of GridPoint, a leading clean technology company, which he founded in 2003 and led as CEO until 2010. GridPoint has reduced energy consumption in commercial buildings by more than 7.5 billion kWh, saved its customers over $1 billion in costs, and avoided over 13 billion pounds of CO2 emissions.
Mr. Corsell has been a cofounder, board member and investor in several technology companies focused on clean energy, enterprise software, and cybersecurity. MIT Technology Review recognized him as one of the world’s top innovators under age 35, the World Economic Forum named him a Young Global Leader, and the National Association of Corporate Directors included him on its inaugural list of leading directors under 40. Mr. Corsell has been interviewed on Charlie Rose and featured in several books including Hot, Flat, and Crowded by Tom Friedman, Perfect Power by Robert Galvin and Kurt Yeager, Earth: The Sequel by Fred Krupp, The Clean Tech Revolution by Ron Pernick and Clint Wilder, and Our Woman in Havana by Ambassador Vicki Huddleston.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Corsell served with the Central Intelligence Agency and with the U.S. Department of State in Havana, Cuba. He holds a BSFS degree from the Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University.
Nick Galotti
Nick Galotti is the CEO of Atlantic Power & Utilities since 2024. Mr. Galotti joined Atlantic Power & Utilities in March 2018, and previously served as the Chief Operating Officer, EVP, Operations and VP, Commercial for the Company.
Mr. Galotti has over 30 years’ experience in the Operations, Engineering & Construction and Development areas of the Energy industry. Prior to joining Atlantic Power & Utilities, Mr. Galotti was the Divisional Vice President, Engineering, Procurement & Construction for AltaGas Ltd in Alberta, Canada where he was responsible for approximately $2 billion of Construction Projects. Prior to AltaGas, he worked in various roles at NRG Energy, Calpine and Stone & Webster Engineering.
Mr. Galotti holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy.
Ronald Schweizer
Ronald Schweizer is the Head of Corporate Strategy at I Squared Capital, where his responsibilities encompass the operations and asset management of the America’s portfolio. Prior to assuming the current role, Ron served as the Chief Operating Officer of Americas and the global Chief Financial Officer of the firm which included the oversight of the company's administrative, financial and risk management operations around the world.
Before joining I Squared in 2013, Ron served as Senior Vice President and Head of Alternative Investments Finance at PineBridge Investments. At PineBridge, Ron was responsible for the accounting and operations for the company's alternative investments products, due diligence on all new private equity fund of fund investments and the review and oversight of all investment valuations.
Previously, Ron was Controller at Strategic Value Partners. Ron joined SVP to build out the infrastructure and develop policies and procedures for a newly formed global private equity/real estate investment platform. Ron oversaw the financial, operational, treasury (including hedging) and valuation aspects of SVP’s private equity funds as well as assisting with the management of the hedge fund’s illiquid asset pool.
Earlier in his career, Ron worked at J.P. Morgan Partners as a Vice President in its Funds Management and Tax Group and at Morgan Stanley as a Manager in its Venture Capital Group. Ron began his career at Ernst & Young where he most recently was a Manager in its alternative investments practice.
Ron holds a Bachelor of Science in accounting cum laude from University of Scranton.
John Collins
John Collins is a proven senior executive with a strong track record of driving growth, improving operating efficiency, developing talent and effective teams resulting in enhanced shareholder returns. He is a recognized expert in M&A, finance, risk management, strategy, energy and derivatives markets and transaction structuring.
Most recently, Collins served as President and CEO of Cube Hydro Partners, an owner and operator of hydroelectric facilities in the U.S. He grew the company through five acquisitions; from the initial development of a 6 MW hydroelectric facility in western Pennsylvania to the ownership and operations of 19 plants totaling 385 MWs located in five states generating 1.5 million MWhs per year. Under his leadership, Cube Hydro successfully reduced operating costs by 30% while significantly improving overall operating performance. Collins led the negotiations and closing of the sale of the company to a U.S.-based subsidiary of Ontario Power Generation for $1.1 billion, which closed in October 2019.
Previously, Collins spent 22 years with Constellation Energy Group, a Fortune 125 diversified energy company, serving as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President of Integration. He led the sale of 49% of Constellation’s nuclear generation business to EDF for $4.5 billion, and was the architect of Baltimore Gas & Electric Company’s 72% rate increase settlement with the Maryland legislature. Prior to joining the holding company, Collins was a founding member and CFO of Constellation Energy’s merchant energy business, which grew to become the largest competitive energy supplier in the U.S., and held several financial leadership positions in Baltimore Gas & Electric Company.
Collins also served as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Constellation Energy Partners, a publicly traded natural gas exploration and production company. He is a founding member and former Chairman of the Committee of Chief Risk Officers (CCRO), which was formed following the collapse of Enron to establish and promote best practices in risk management.
Collins holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Delaware (where he was inducted into the university’s “Wall of Fame”) and an M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh.
Martin Lythgoe
Martin Lythgoe is the Deputy General Counsel of I Squared Capital, based in the Miami office where he is responsible for providing legal support to various operations as well as new projects around the world.
Before joining I Squared Capital, Martin was the General Counsel for Orazul Energy, and has over 20 years of international legal experience at leading companies and law firms including Duke Energy Corp and King & Spalding, LLP.
Martin has worked on numerous infrastructure M&A, green and brownfield projects as well as financings in the Americas. In addition, Martin has served on several boards of directors of different operating entities around the world.
He holds a law degree from the Universidad de Buenos Aires, a masters in business law from the Universidad Austral and a masters in energy and environmental law from the University of Houston.
Tom Kunde
Tom Kunde is an Operating Director at I Squared Capital, based in the Miami office. As an Operating Director, he is responsible for providing asset management support to various operating platform companies as well as supporting due diligence and technical analysis for potential new investments.
Prior to joining I Squared Capital 6 years ago, Tom had a 25-year career with the AES corporation, the last role being President of AES’ Asia Pacific region based in Singapore. He has also served as the CEO of a hydroelectric company in Chile and Managing Director of a solar energy development company.
Tom has extensive experience in the development, construction, and management of power generation facilities and has also worked in the fields of energy transition and renewable fuels.
He holds a Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering from Oregon State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
David Whitcher
David Whitcher is a Managing Director at I Squared Capital focused on the power and renewables sector in North America.
Prior to joining I Squared, David was a Managing Director covering power, utilities and infrastructure for Mizuho Securities in New York, and was previously a Senior Managing Director and Group Head for Power, Utilities and Infrastructure at UBS and a Managing Director in the Global Power and Utilities Group at Morgan Stanley.
David holds an MBA with honors from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Otago in New Zealand.
